Roxana is a psychologist and psychotherapist with international clinical experience, who combines academic knowledge with practical experience of a wide range of key topics including cognitive and constructivist psychotherapy, women’s rights issues, Trauma and the use of Attachment Theory in clinical work.

She has experience of leading complex and specialised psychotherapy services in a range of organisations including the Latin American Women’s Rights Service, Solace Women’s Aid and Women and Girls Network in the UK. She has written and developed case management and good practice guidelines for therapists working with survivors of trauma and harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation. She also wrote teaching material for the Open University in Barcelona, Spain.

Since 2006 she has specialised in Understanding Trauma, working to support women and men, refugees and asylum seekers and survivors of all kinds of abuse, including domestic violence, sexual abuse and torture. She has provided psychotherapy sessions at hospitals, in local communities and in her central London private practice. 

Roxana is an accomplished Clinical Supervisor with experience in Group and Individual Clinical Supervision, providing clinical supervision to therapists, advisors and front-line workers in charity organisations. In this field, she is interested in developing ways of working from Psychological Informed Environments for front line workers.

 She is keen to encourage and support research about the clinical applications of the Attachment Theory, Triple Stance developed by Christian Herreman and the development of clinical interventions that combine individual psychotherapy and Yoga (body and mind integration). 

She is a member of the International Attachment Network UK (IAN- UK) executive committee since February 2016 and part of the International Liaison Team IAN- UK sub-division since it was formed late on that same year. Roxana is a post graduated member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Accredited member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Member of the UK Psychological Trauma Society (UKPTS) and the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ESTSS).
